Missions
Why Do We Do Missions ?
A. Scriptures make it clear that our purpose is to be a missional people. We are
to be driven to live as Jesus showed us and to be his disciples in all the world.
Acts 1:8 is the essential passage from the word for the church to be involved
in missions.
Jesus said, "You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 12:8
B. Jesus modeled being a missionary every where he went he did good deeds and
told the people about the Kingdom of God. His parables, his teaching, his in-
structions, and his sacrifice give a clear picture of how we are to live our lives.
C. There is nothing more gratifying than serving God. Whether it is in our daily
task, in our town or across the world the blessings each of us receive by being a
servant of God is real joy. Being a servant to God helps us mature in our walk
in Christ, and brings glory to God.

The sewing ministry goes out every Wednesday to a different nursing
home to sew for precious people who no longer can do for them selves.

SOUP KITCHEN
Every fourth Wednesday we leave the church parking lot at 9 am and head for Immokalee
where we work as servants to the homeless, migrant men and woman and needy people. It is
a year round ministry. Anyone is welcome to come along. We set up the dining room and serve
the meal, clean up and some even help in the school and clothing shop. It is a rewarding ministry
and you will be blessed if you go.
Matthew 25:34-40. In summary these verses say, "Come,ye blessed of my Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: "For I was hungry and you gave me meat, thirsty and
you gave me drink, naked and ye clothed me, sick and ye visited me". The righteous answer him, saying, When did we do these
things, and He said, "When ye do these things unto the least of my brethren, ye have done it unto me"
